2022 - 2016 - 2022 2010 - 2016	Professor of data assimilation, University of Reading Associate professor of data assimilation and inverse problems, University of Reading. Lecturer in data assimilation, University of Reading.
2001- 2010	Research fellow in the Department of Mathematics, University of Reading.
1997-  2001	PhD with The University of Reading, obtained while still working at the Met Office. "Development of linear models for data assimilation in numerical weather prediction"
1992-  2001	Research Scientist at the Met Office. A large part of my time at the Met Office was spent developing the linear and adjoint models for the incremental 4D-Var system.
1992	Graduated from the University of York with BSc (Hons) in Mathematics with Education.
